Introduction to Whole Grains, Sourdough, and Breadbaking

$250Join our exclusive workshop led by local, regenerative organic grain farmer, sourdough bread baker extraordinaire, and Ethos Farm to Health Board Member Jason DeSalvo, at Cold Brook Farm in Oldwick, NJ.
In this three hour class, Jason will introduce you to sourcing the finest organic grains, the importance of whole grains to your health and WFPB-SOS lifestyle, the difference between freshly milled flour and what we typically buy in a store, baking with a sourdough starter and the basic concepts behind baking glorious, nutritious breads in a normal oven right in your own home.
During our time together you will taste different grain berries, mill fresh flour, taste the difference between freshly milled and store bought flour, create your own sourdough starter and bake bread! Please bring a small, clean widemouth jar (8-12 ounces is an ideal size) if you plan on taking home your very own “baby” (i.e. sourdough starter).
This class will be held at Cold Brook Farm in Oldwick, NJ and is strictly limited to eight people. Class will start promptly and directions will be emailed to all participants upon receipt of payment.
